At the end of this module, students will be able to: 

ž Understand how change happens in the world.

ž Understand how you can be a change agent.

ž Understand the See—Judge—Act Approach to social analysis and social change and how to apply it to Catholic Social Teaching and change management.

ž Understand how to use the Good Samaritan Approach.

ž Understand how Pope Francis uses this Approach in his teaching and in his papal ministry.

At the end of this module, students will be able to:

Understand the Spiritual Basis of a Culture of Encounter.

Understand the spiritual basis of the catholic social teaching principle of Solidarity.

Be familiar with the basic structure and content of the compendium of the social doctrine of the Church.

Imagine ways to live the Culture of Encounter in a global context.

Have an introductory knowledge of the work of the Caritas Confederation generally, and that of Development & Peace – Caritas Canada specifically.
